Houston runs on family taquerias, corner boutiques, barbershops that have known three generations of the same family, and restaurants that never really bothered to advertise since word of mouth always did the job for these local businesses. That's exactly the problem though, because word of mouth only reaches so far, and a city as big as Houston deserves better than "you had to already know about it."
Masterplansocial started as a class project with one simple question, which was what if a team of students spent their time helping local Houston businesses close the gap between "everyone in the neighborhood knows us" and "anyone in Houston can find us." There's no agency fees and no corporate pitch deck involved with Masterplansocial, just people who grew up around Houston's culture and wanted to give something back to that culture.

Every local business that Masterplansocial works with is a piece of what makes Houston feel like Houston, so Masterplansocial isn't trying to make anyone go viral. Masterplansocial is trying to make sure that a real customer, one street over, can actually find the place they would love if they only knew that place existed, and that's really the whole project when it comes down to it.
